I have read that some airlines agree for travel uptill 36 weeks of pregnancy for their travellers and enquired to confirm that. I am planning to visit India in July 2009 (I'll be 21weeks) and come back in September 2009 which would be around 30 weeks, I'll be on bench and would like to spend some time with family.
My question, would that pose any kind of problems at the port of entry from immigration perspective. I'm on EAD and will be using my AP for travel. My husband is planning to stay back in US, I would be alone while travelling....
Please advise if anyone travelled around that time in their pregnacy to India. Moreover our priority date is Oct 2004 EB2 and Notice Date is Oct 15th 2007, we are expecting some kind of movement this year. Would any RFE's or approval be an issue while I am visiting?

Yes, it changed on July 28th. I noticed it today while adding my AOS receipt numbers.

Are you applying in EB2 ? If so, since your PD is current, you will be eligible to apply for I-485 and thus an A number is alloted.

My lawyer (Employer Lawyer) is saying that they will resubmit the 485 application with covering letter. However, I have my own doubt that how come USCIS sent the application back without Receipt number? How lawyer can resubmit 485 petition without the receipt number?
Is there anyway to track when my 485 application was received and why they resend my petition by calling any USCIS number. All I have is I-140 receipt number filed 6 months back and 485 application package Fedex tracking number.

Everyone,
Here is my situation. My company filed my PERM and it just got approved. My gross salary is 15% less than the prevailing wage when my PERM was filed. Furthermore, my company lost money for FY 2008 and 2009.
According to my company attorney, since my company doesn't have positive net income to show proffered wage, the only way to proof that my company has the ability to pay is to pay me at least the prevailing wage BEFORE the I-140 is filed.
What other ways can be used in case an RFE was issued?
Can anyone commend on this? Can I still file I-140?
Please discuss.

I always stay at the Palm Grove...it is around 10-12 min walk from the Consulate. They charge around Rs 1100 for a non ac double room. They have a inhouse restaurant which is also very convenient. Last time I paid Rs. 25 for the auto to the consulate.

Then a bunch of people join them, for few days the thread will be on the top with every body blowing steam on how USCIS should be taught a lesson. Then the thread disappears and wait for few weeks. A new one pops up.
It's almost as if it is a passing ritual for new IV members.

Some time ago USCIS announced that it would not re-instate PP for I140 due to extremely high volume of new applications coming in. It would be good if they could re-instate it ASAP, but I don't think they will do it this year. They are still processing July 2nd I485 receipts! Believe or not, last week one of my friends received I485 receipt dated October 22, and he filed on July 2nd in NSC!!!....

Similar to CIR was done on 1986. But I did not hear anything about unusual delay of processing time. Processing time may increase from 1 to 2 years not 5 or 10 years. Congress will increase the manpower temporarily to expedite the process.
Pretend CIR pass with some EB relief and here is the black side.
13 millions illegals will Jammmmmmmmmmm the USCIS, DOS, and DOL system. In 2001, Congress (Democrats) passed 245(i) and illegals have jammed Labor system. Hundreds of legal people struck in so called Backlog Elimination Center for more than 5 to 6 years. In the time of 2007 Citizenship fee increase, backlog was surged to the hell. Congress enacted law for mandatory passport requirement for western hemisphere travel and thousands of citizens rushed for passport application resulting huge backlog. Fortunately, they have lot of Godfathers to take care.
If 13 millions illegal jammmm system, even if your PD is current, you will get 10 years to get green cards (person I know had 6 years to get his labor approved due to 200K application of illegal. Image what will happen, if flood gate of 13 millions open!!). Be remember, poor legal EB community have no Godfather to help!!

How does the general public feel about comprehensive immigration reform? A nationwide poll, conducted after the election by Quinnipiac University, found that by a margin of 69 percent to 27 percent, American voters say illegal immigrants should be allowed into a guest worker program with the ability to work toward citizenship over a period of several years. Such a guest worker program has wide support among voters of all political stripes.
President Bush has met with leaders of both parties in the House and Senate about comprehensive immigration reform, and is optimistic about cooperating with the Democratic majority on this issue.
Senator Kennedy (D-MASS), the incoming Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration declared earlier this week that "the dynamics are right. With a new Congress, we have an opportunity to pass our plan to secure our borders, uphold our laws, and strengthen our economy."
The bottom line? The operative word regarding comprehensive immigration reform has now changed from "if" to "when".

Immigrationvoice raised the awareness about the rally and our cause through this ad in the Rollcall newspaper yesterday. Rollcall is read by staffers, lawmakers and a lot of people who deal with public policy, lobbying and politics on the hill.
