According to the AILA, approximately 40,000 visas remain in all employment-based categories, other than EW, for FY2007, according to its sources, and that the USCIS has far more than 40,000 adjustment applications in the backlog queue that are ready for approval, not to mention the additional numbers which will be consumed in concular immigrant visa processing. It is thus possible that the cap may reach within a short period in July, even though no one can predict it until after July 2, 2007. The USCIS at this time does not have any policy announced with reference to July 2007 I-485 filings which are filed after certain date in July when the total number is exhausted. However, considering the fact that the USCIS currently rejects the "Other Worker" category I-485 applications even though June 2007 Visa Bulletin show current for certain applicants because the "other worker" category quota was exhausted on June 5, 2007. This raises a serious concern because as we reported earlier today, the USCIS appears to be picking up the speed of processing of backlog I-485 applications in anticipation of flood of July 485 applications. The USCIS hands may be tied, should the EB visa numbers for FY 2007 is exhausted before the end of July.

In my opinion MMS may be a nice person and may be a good economist, but it wasn't him who was running the govt. and it will not be him if he comes back again. It is a very common practice in India, a chemist will run a chemist shop but the License is in somebody else's name. Here also same thing happened, you saw Manmohan Singh on PM's chair, but it was somebody else who was running the show, and it is deception & dishonesty to your voters. I always see a "Culprit" in his eyes, which is either hiding something or is guilty. Observe him on TV, he's mostly not making too much eye contact, he know he is guilty of deception....
He also headed one of the most corrupt & criminal cabinets in the history of India. People like Taslimuddin, Shibu Soren , Jagdish Tytler, Lalu had several criminal cases against them. On the contary you may not personally Like LK Advani, It's not just him who's going to rule the country if he comes to power. It'll be the whole cabinet, most what was during Vajpayee govt. which was much cleaner & much more agressive on developmental issues, they worked on certain agendas, lot of places where you see growth, were actually the good work done by the NDA govt. You may praise Laloo for all the Railway turn around, but the reality is the foundation was layed by then Railway Minister "Nitish Kumar", AI/AI became profitable under "Rajiv Pratap Rudy" . There were people like "Suresh Prabhu", "Yashwant Sinha", "Arun Shourie", all of them did tremendous Jobs in their cabinet. Yes...only that puupet brought those changes and reforms. I dont have any issues for Mr. Advani, but please show me some track record as he was part of the ruling party for five years.

--Improve processing time to consume full quota allotted per fiscal year. If the cases are processed at snail pace, increasing quota to half a million visa doesn't mean squat to anybody. It will fall into another cycle of "waste visas & recapture visas"

1. Do we need get our education evaluation done, i am from india with Bsc +Msc(physic) +PGDCA.Will they
consider degree from India as valid with any evaluations.
No educational evaluations are necessary. Provide them ORIGINAL transcripts and notarised copies of your degree certificates
2.For experience what i plan to do is give notarized copies of experience letter,paystubbs. Probably lot
of paystubs so that it looks complete, appointment letter, W2 forms.
This should be sufficient. Provide a copy of resume too
3. Bank statements
Provide bank statements for the last 3 months.
4.Mariage certificate + Birth related documents (notarized)
5. IF some of you can share some Formats which you guys have used to write letter to CIC so that you
get waivered of you English test.
Write them a letter saying that you were educated in English and you are proficient inEnglish. They dont care for IELTS if you apply for US.

WDude, Googler, I am not against removing per country limits. But we need to have a cool head, think straight, objective and use facts. I just think it will be next to impossible to change the INA to remove those quotas so it's better to concentrate efforts on 1) visa recapture; 2) EB quota increase. Visas were lost mostly because of NC issue.

In the past couple of months, EB3-ROW has been getting the same cut-off date as EB-3 CHINA. I don't see any advantage of being EB-3 ROW at all. I think USCIS set up the cut-off date based on estimation on workload, not necessarily fact. Otherwise how could move forward/backward for as long as couple of years in 1 month?

You know what I used to think like this too.
President of India is put up in hotel and Saino&family in palace during Bhutan king coronation and they said Saino is personal guest of the royal family so may be that's ok.
Media on one hand calls this person homemaker (Priyanka Gandhi)and on the other hand reports that she is in Bangladesh having talks/dinner with Bangladesh PM with Bangladesh State providing security to her which looks like a official visit.Media doesn't mention in what nature is this offcial apart from NREG stuff which looks very fishy.
Just after UPA came to power Sonia goes to Russia in Reliance plane to meet with Putin.
I tried to find out why Sonia is in Russia but almost all the papers were excited about the reliance plane(could it be Anil's or Mukhesh's) but didn't say anything about Russia visit.I moved on and still don't what was it about though hoping it was something good for country and not revival of KGB connection(When U.S.S.R collapsed it was made public from KGB archive that Rajiv/Sonia were constant recipients of KGB money.?,it's anybody's guess ).
Then Sona/Rahul went to china and media was saying Sonia is trying to tell China that their family is back in power making it seem like monarchy within democracy.
When our company pays for cleaning agency to do the household cleaning for it's employees ,the help that comes to our house will take orders from us rite? Seems the same with some of these media guys.
What's interesting is people who call themselves cream of the top,(who say) can think clearly are willing to trust the future of their sons and well being of their daughters in the hands of this family.
Most sickening part was UPA leaders only concentrated on abusing, denying and accusing. They never told the voters if they did any work in last 5 years. I know there wasn't a lot to tell but still the whole campaign is kind of useless...and the role of media is amazing, they just covered 5 people Maino Antonia, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Advani & Modi as if nobody else exist in the country. Priyanka Gandhi wakes up every 5 years during elections and media runs after...How sick a country we are ???

It doesn't cost you anything to make promises, also people are used to being ditched by politicians, so they don't complaint. I guess mostly people feel satisfied by just getting the glimpse of you if you are a celeberity, otherwise why would anybody vote for Sanjay Dutt(thank God Supreme court banned him) ? I cannot believe there are 9 pages (and counting) worth of sentiments, because some lame talentless guy was subject to security checks at an International Airport. I'm someone who was born India, but never lived there - however I'd think there are incredibly talented Indians here in America and worldwide compared to someone who's used to blatant exploitation / sell out of Indian culture. I personally know of 2 friends - live within half a mile of where I do, who got their GCs using labor substitution. If the lawyer and sponsoring company are good, go for it. Keep in mind that this is going to go away soon.........

There is no doubt Everyone knows that H1b and GC laws are crazy. For that we need to fight to change the law but should not encourage to violate the law. If USCIS violates law lawsuit should be filed. That is the rightway.

vdlroa my friend I couldn't agree less with you on that statement. Eb2 will saturate a lot of visa numbers, and will ultimately benefit our friends in EB3. As per now I believe, we should focus on creating more visibility for our cases, which will eventually help EB3 as well.

I have filed my 485 on 8th June 2007, My 140 is approved in August 2006.
I have 2 different questions.
I have changed the job on 1st July 2008. Do I need to involve my attorney to file for AC 21? The New job title is "System Administrator" which is the same ONET CODE.
IN the while I have another offer with title as "Sr Systems Analyst".
My labor was applied as "Network Engineer" ONET code 15-1071. Can I switch to a job with title "Sr. Systems Analyst" ONET Code 15-1081.00 or 15-1051.00
