Yes. They mailed on Feb 22nd and I received on 24th. My friend contacted consulate an year ago for some information on phone and by luck they answered the question.

Glad to know you're doing it the right way - by contacting your State Chapter leaders and interacting with them. (Anyone from Michigan in similar situations can join MI chapter, and we'll be happy to guide you).
Please, don't attribute 'vested interest' or 'no stakes' to ALL naysayers. Losing activist members to AC21 loopholes is a loss to the movement. We're all interested in avoiding that, as much as we can. Try to keep your actions positive and inclusive. Coalition building is the way to achieve success.
All the best in your efforts to lead a 'Special Interests Group' (SIG) on I-140 PP. Joining and consulting with State Chapter leads will definitely help you in moving forward.
Keep in mind you're in the territory of 'Executive Lobbying' which is much more tougher than the 'Legislative Lobbying' of IV. Hardwork lies ahead.

I have talked with a IV Core member and am about 70-80% convinced with the answers. I'm meeting with my State Chapter this weekend and will discuss an effective way forward on this issue. Hi friends i was planning to go to toronto, CANADA this weekend for stamping my 3yr extension .My 7th yr extension is till April 16th.So after reading what chandu wrote.Can somebody please tell me is it advisable for me to go one month in advance for visa stamping as my current visa is valid for one more month.Can somebody pls help on this.I have already booked the tickets & hotel.
My employer told me, as I have a valid stamp from same company, I must wait till it is within 10 days of the stamp expiry (mine is may 29th, 2007) so I must go only 10 days before that date, but if it is a different company we can go.
Can anyone confirm what my employer said?

If an employee takes a promotion, how does DOL/USICS enforces that the employee accepts the job for the advertised wages and responsibility after getting his GC?
But I thought LC is an ad for a future position. As long as the employee is qualified and willing to accept the job for the advertised wages at the advertised location when he gets his GC, there should be no issues. For that matter, there are many folks on this forum who have their LC filed in one state but are currently working in a different state without refiling LC. How is this any different from the promotion case ?
Now I fully recognize many employers will choose to exploit their employees and deny them any raise or promotion knowing that they pretty much own the employee until he gets his GC. But is taking promotions against immigration laws in theory ?
I know for sure nothing in immigration law even requires an EB beneficiary to be working in the US on an H1-B with the sponsoring company until he gets his GC - although that is the only feasible practise given the long delays in processing a GC.

One of my colleagues application was also received by B. Fisheron 9.30 AM 20th july. His checks were cashed yesterday morning.

Ottowa, Canberra, Islamabad, Dublin, Harare, Pretoria and most of the rest of the former Imperial and Commonwealth countries.
A bill does not mean that it will be passed to become an Act - they draft the language such that when it is passed it is an 'Act of Congress' - substitute for parliamant of choice - I prefer "Oirechtas", but then - I'm Irish :) so the word Act is in the Bill
and even if it does pass - in most places you can challemge it's constitionality.
I wouldn't worry on this one - I do not think it will pass - there is already too much oppositon to it, and it's just those two posturing in the run up to the 2010 elections.

This is scary. I don't think big companies would be willing to provide A2P document like tax returns etc. I was hoping that only possible RFE after AC21 is EVL. This definitely makes decision difficult even though chances of this RFE are less.:confused:

They have sifted through floor-length gowns lovingly stored in closets and plucked every custom-made sari threaded with gold worth thousands, disdaining saris worth only hundreds," the report said.
Last Thursday at least three such cases were reported in Loudoun county, Virginia. Burglars broke into six Indian homes in Fairfax too. Another 16 burglaries between January and August were reported in Reston, Centreville and Fair Oaks, the daily said.
It added that unsolved crimes mirrored a pattern of 93 burglaries in Houston, 37 in central Illinois and several near St Paul, Minnesota.
Police had yet to figure out how the burglars so successfully identify homes with large gold caches, the paper said. Victims and police had eliminated obvious links like churches, temples, or even grocery stores where they could have been tracked, it added.
"There is targeting due to gold prices. That�s how we are talking about it, rather than ethnicity," Fairfax police spokeswoman Mary Ann Jennings said.
