The most straws stuffed in a mouth is 400, achieved by Simon Elmore (Germany), who held them there for 10 seconds at the Mark ‘n’ Simon Show, Sollhuben, Bavaria, Germany, on Aug. 6, 2009.

Longest nose
The longest nose on a living person measures 8.8 cm (3.46 in) long from the bridge to the tip and belongs to Mehmet Ozyurek (Turkey). It was measured on the set of Lo Show dei Record in Rome, Italy, on March 18, 2010.

Largest collection of Smurfs
Stephen Parkes (UK) began collecting Smurfs as a child, when they were sold by a chain of garages across the UK, and has never stopped. As of Jan. 28, 2010, his collection totals 1,061 and includes Christmas Smurfs, Easter Smurfs and Smurfs dressed as historical figures.

Biggest bottle cap scultpure
Alistair Galpin poses with the largest bottle cap sculpture, made of 19,205 caps, in Auckland, New Zealand. The caps were used to create a sculpture in the shape of rugby ball. It took 18 months to complete and was finished to unveil on Guinness World Records Day.

Most concrete blocks broken while holding a raw egg
Joe Alexander, of Germany, breaks 24 concrete blocks, assembled in three stacks of 8 while holding a raw egg in the hand of the arm used for breaking the blocks. After the third stack had been broken the egg was still unbroken. The record to beat was 14 and the final result was 24.

Largest pumpkin
Talk about a great gourd: Guinness World Records has confirmed that a massive pumpkin grown in Wisconsin is officially the world’s heaviest. It weighs 1,810.5 pounds and was grown by Chris Stevens in Wisconsin.

Longest domestic cat
5-year-old Maine Coon named Stewie was certified as the new record holder for world’s longest domestic cat after measuring 48.5 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail bone. That’s a little more than 4 feet long.

Oldest twins in the world
Sisters Ena Pugh, right, and Lily Millward have been confirmed as the oldest twins in the world at 100 years and 10 months. Both live in the United Kingdom.

Joe Alexander catches 43 arrows from the air, shot by German archers Peter Dubberstein and Robin Puls in Germany. Alexander caught 43, and the record to beat was 36.

Murphy earned $4.3 million over the last year with a big Estée Lauder deal. New campaigns include Iceberg, Fashion Island and Peek & Cloppenburg.

But there was only so much of the same shot of plastic models fighting in space one could take before throwing an implement at the TV due to perilous levels of boredom. Then the new series appeared with improved scripts and Tricia Helfer’s barely clad space globes, and all of a sudden we were addicted again. She might technically be a robot, but she’s certainly not made from metal, and she’s definitely not from Earth. What’s more, there are thousands of identical copies of her.

5. Leeloo (The Fifth Element)
Underrated sci-fi epic The Fifth Element featured a ditzy, tough as hell, red-headed alien babe as its protagonist. Played by Mila Jovovich, Leeloo spent a satisfyingly large amount of time showing just enough skin to get us all warmed up, and not so much that we couldn’t watch it when we were 12.

6. Oola (Return of the Jedi)
Leia’s main hotness rival in the original Star Wars trilogy, Oola was Jabba’s Twi’ilek dancing girl. She and her crew of palace babes entertained the bounty hunters with their atrocious music (since digitally remastered) and hot dancing (retained from the original). Sadly she met her demise in a rather sudden and messy fashion as brunch for the Rancor. What a waste.

7. Anna (V)
f aliens are meant to be so intelligent, then why do they seem to consistently send leaders to Earth who have massive bulging foreheads, spindly fingers and flabby green bellies? 8. Laliari (Galaxy Quest)
Laliari: the only woman/thing we can think of that looks sexy with tentacles (apart from Serleena, that is). Galaxy Quest’s Laliari, played by Texan-born Missi Pyle, gave away her secret during a make-out scene where she began sprouting octopus-esque appendages. Once we got over the initial shock, it didn’t take long to warm to the idea. Just think what she could do with those things in bed…

9. Serleena (Men in Black 2)
Lara Flynn Boyle’s role in Men in Black 2 was as a shape-shifting alien queen called Serleena, and she was so hot she made the film watchable. The ex-Twin Peaks star has done the rounds mostly on the small screen, making MIB 2 a rare starring role for the raven-haired beauty. In our opinion, with cans like hers she should have been allowed to play a shape-shifting alien in every film ever to come out of Hollywood. She’d certainly have livened up A Few Good Men.

10. Neytiri (Avatar)
Yeah it’s weird, but she was oddly hot, and there are probably weirder entries on the list, despite the frankly creepy implications of the ‘sex’ scene.
